All WLACE Preschool Programs offer a curriculum that provides: Language Development, Literacy Development, Mathematics, Science, Creative Arts, Social and Emotional Development, and Physical Health & Development. In addition to the regular preschool curriculum, Head Start offers meals & snacks, health & dental services, family advocacy services and transportation.
Head Start is a federally funded program available at no cost to eligible families with children who will be 3 or 4 by December 1. Regulations require that all selections be based on the child's eligibility as determined by the Enrollment Selection Priority Grid. Head Start preschool programming is available in Holton, Montague, Reeths-Puffer (also serving North Muskegon), & Whitehall. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday with AM and PM sessions. Head Start has ongoing registration and recruitment. For additional information, please contact WLACE at 231-893-0515.
